Preferences

In the ChatHQ Portal, the term "User Preferences" refers to a set of customizable settings that apply globally across all your accounts within the application. This means that changing these settings will affect the entire user interface and experience.

Navigating to the User Preferences Page

1. Locate the User Icon: Look for the user icon at the top-right corner of your application's homepage.

2. Access Preferences: Click on the user icon. A dropdown menu will appear.

3. Go to Preferences Page: In the dropdown menu, click on the "Preferences" button to navigate to the User Preferences page.

Available User Preference Settings

There are two key settings you can change in the User Preferences:

• Language: Changing the language setting will translate all the text within the application to your selected language.

• Theme: Adjusting the theme will change the overall look and feel of the application.

Change Language

1. Navigate to the "Language" section on the User Preferences page.

2. Choose your desired language from the available options.

3. The change will be applied immediately across the entire application.

Change Theme

1. Navigate to the "Theme" section on the User Preferences page.

2. Select your desired theme.

3. The new theme will be applied instantly across the application.

User preferences serve as a simple yet powerful way to make your ChatHQ experience more personalized, consistent, and accessible, while also potentially increasing your efficiency and comfort. By taking a few moments to adjust these settings, you can significantly enhance your interaction with the application.

Security

In this section we will show you how to link your Google email accounts to your ChatHQ portal account. This straightforward process not only simplifies your login experience but also adds an additional layer of security.

You can only link a single Google account to your ChatHQ Portal account, so if you created your account already with our "Continue With Google" option, you cannot link another Google account.

The following information is only relevant to users who created a ChatHQ Portal account with EMAIL and PASSWORD.

Access Security Settings

1. Login to your ChatHQ portal account.

2. Click on your profile photo icon usually located at the top-right corner of the screen.

3. Select Preferences from the dropdown menu.

4. You will be directed to a new page. Click on the Security tab to proceed.

OAuth Registration and Login

ChatHQ Portal offers OAuth to manage users when registering and logging in. This means you can login to a single ChatHQ account with email or with Google!

To avoid getting locked out of your ChatHQ Portal account, connect Google to your ChatHQ Portal account so you have multiple options to login to the same account!

Linking Google Account

• Locate the Google section.

• Click the Connect button next to it.

• A pop-up window will appear asking you to sign in to a Google account.

• Enter your Google credentials to link the account to your ChatHQ portal.

Linking your social media accounts to your ChatHQ portal account enhances both the convenience and the security of your user experience. By integrating platforms like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and LinkedIn, you streamline the login process, allowing for quicker and more efficient access to your account.
